LET'S CELEBRATE @UNIFEST 2012
LET'S CELEBRATE @UNIFEST 2012
Broward County's oldest Multicultural Festival.....UNIFEST comes alive with Caribbean culture, food, music and family fun. Come early to the Vincent Torres Memorial Park at 4331 NW 36 Street in Lauderdale Lakes, FL for a full day of celebration. Gates open at noon, and entrance is only $15. Kids under 11 FREE. There's even a VIP area with catered food, wine and refreshments for just $75. Tickets available online at www.UnifestLive.com
Celebrations this year will be extra special as it is the 50th year of independence from Britian for both Jamaica and the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago! Reggae and Soca music and much dancing will take place with a line up including socal wild man, Iwer George and the lively Leon Coldero both from Trinidad, plus the cool Reggae stylings of Luciano "The Messenger", gospel with the talented sister trio, 3B4Jhoy, and some funky violin playing by Black Violin...and that's just to name a few. The kids will love their own Kidz Zone (still looking for a corporate sponsor), and there will be a business expo and health zone.
New to the festival is the hosted Live Social Media Lounge that goes along with Live Streaming on the net. All this will be produced by South Florida's own, Steadyimage Productions. Performers and their fans can interact in real time via Twitter using a special hash tag #. The broadcast will be available for viewing on the festival's facebook page: facebook.com/UnifestLive. SAVE THE DATE: Sunday May 20, 2012 - Noon to 11pm
